Motorcycle trip 2010 part 2

Telluride is a ski and tourist town that is very upscale. In the summer they provide free transportation by using the ski trams. There are 3 trams that will take you up and down the mountain to different sections of the city. Got to take a free ride.

A beautiful view from the tram of part of Telluride city and the mountains that surround it from the top.

Mesa Verde was my favorite place to visit. The park service still has ranger guided tours that allows the public to climb the entrance latters walk in the ruins. Our tour guide was excellent, explaining the culture and way of life from the people who live here. It seems like the history of the people has changed over the years. Now the ancients (I was told not to be called Anasazi) who built these structure didn't just disappear, but moved elsewhere. 24 southwest Indian tribes are now their descendants. If you like the outdoors, hiking and exploring I highly suggest a visit. The park service web site is at http://www.nps.gov/meve/index.htm

The highlight of my trip.

Those ruins look really neat. I would like to see that someday.
