In the morning a hot air balloon landed several hundred feet from the condo. Then let some people out and took off again.
Took the mine tour close to Silverton where you ride the ore car several hundred feet into the mountain. The old hundred mine had several million invested and never was profitable, or until they started tours. Had a guide who was a hard rock miner and told about the techniques of blasting, drilling and ore removal from the mine. That isn't the guy you see in the picture. It was very interesting to me.
Collin would have loved seeing or riding on the steamer that runs daily between Durango and Silverton.

Sounds like a fun trip. Looks like you are seeing a lot of things we've never seen before. The mine tour sounds interesting.
